Before coming to Best Friends, Dakota lived in Michigan with 98 other dogs. 98!
One person, too many dogs, not enough food or shelter to go around. It's no wonder Dakota suffered from a little anxiety.
But he's getting better and more trusting every day. Dakota is quite playful, despite his mild hip dysplasia. He really is happy doing anything, as long as it involves people --- long walks, car rides and, once he gets to know you, snuggling are his all-time favorite activities.
Dakota still has a few guarding issues with food and toys --- he just doesn't quite trust that there will be enough for him! But all that will change in time as his caregivers continue to work with him. All Dakota needs is a loving, patient adult home. He's so playful and cuddly! He was born in 2002 and gets along with all dogs big and small.
This beautiful Siberian husky would love to be your companion in a real home, forever showing his gratitude. Please consider taking him home today!
