"Tag, you're it! I mean, you're mine!"
 
This is how Teddy, the big goofball greets people who come to visit him. First he puts his paw on you to let you know he's chosen you to be his new friend. Then he'll run off and try to get you to play with him.

And if you'd rather pet him, Teddy's fine with that! He'll lean into you, sit on you --- do just about anything to get as close as possible to you.

Teddy is also very loyal, almost to a fault. Long ago, when Teddy's male person was physically abusing his female person, Teddy got in the middle and bit the man.

His feelings must have been really riled up and to this day he is very protective of females and shown this by growling, showing his teeth and very rarely showing aggression toward men. But most the time when you meet him he is an affectionate, exuberant goofball.

Teddy would really like a new home. And if you give him the job of being companion animal in your adult household, he promises to love you, play with you, and look out for you forever and ever!
