She's only 34 pounds!

(We don't know why she always looks bigger in her photos. Maybe it's her big heart showing through!)

Soft and gentle, Skeeter often has her tail tucked between her legs. She loves it when you approach her and pet her! But she feels all timid at the same time, like, "Are you sure you want t pet me?"

The poor thing came from an animal shelter that had run out of food and water and needed to close down. Skeeter arrived with a case of valley fever! But she's OK now. It's been a rough road, though.

Skeeter knows "sit", and she walks pleasantly on lead (in her own shy little way). It's recommended that children be a little older because of her timidity. And she can be a little nervous when she meets other dogs for the first time.

But she's healthy and was born in just 2004, so she's just hoping and praying for a person out there who'll love her for who she is and welcome her into the safety and comfort of a real home.
